Sponsorship of Annual Coyote Classic Bike Race
Race organizers up pro purse to $2,500 - December 5, 2005
EAGLE, Idaho – The first cross-country race of the Knobby Tire Mountain Bike Series, the Coyote Classic, has been added to the American Mountain Bike Challenge (AMBC) 2006 race calendar and now features a pro purse size of $2,500, thanks to additional sponsorship from SunCor Idaho, developer of the master-planned community of Avimor.
The fourth annual Coyote Classic at Avimor will take place on May 21, 2006, approximately 20 miles from downtown Boise, just off Idaho’s State Highway 55. The cross country race features three courses; beginner, sport and expert loops. Course lengths vary from eight to 24 miles, with varied terrain such as long downhills, technical tight single track, water crossings and granny gear climbs.
“Through the generous support and partnership with SunCor Idaho, we have been able to take the Coyote Classic to the next level; from a local to a regional race,” said race promoter Cynthia Gibson. “This sponsorship will enable us to increase marketing and promotions this year in order to attract more racers outside of Idaho, plus draw more professional racers. We would not have been able to take this important step without SunCor's assistance and we are incredibly grateful."
Participants in the Coyote Classic at Avimor have the opportunity to qualify for NORBA National Finals in Mammoth, Calif. Additionally, the Coyote Classic is part of the Idaho State Championship Series. For more information, please see www.knobbytireseries.com.

The master-planned community of Avimor will take shape over several years in the foothills northwest of Boise, Idaho, adjacent to Highway 55. The first phase of construction is planned to begin Spring 2006, culminating with a model home grand opening early 2007. The planned community will feature approximately 684 homes, as well as commercial and community facilities on about 830 acres. SunCor Idaho, LLC, an Eagle, Idaho-based company established in 2003, and its parent, SunCor Development Company, are recognized as conscientious, community-minded corporate citizens and quality community builders. The companies’ resolve to complement rather than compete with existing land, and its commitment to enhance recreational use of the Boise Front foothills, ensure that the Avimor community will be an outstanding residential community in a resort-like setting.
