Village Center Commercial Activity
The heart of Avimor Village One is the Village Center that contains 175,000 sq.ft. of mixed-use commercial development, including retail shops, office space, and the 12,000 sq.ft. Community Center. The high density area of the Village Center is surrounded by smaller residential homes, while the larger home sites and custom home sites are located on the perimeter areas of Village One.
Already completed in Village One is the 12,000 sq.ft. Community Center that contains an indoor swimming pool, large fitness center, expandable meeting rooms, library lounge, patio areas, and staging kitchen. Avimor has also completed a total of seven parks, most notably the 5 acre Foothills Heritage Park that contains an amphitheatre and tiered lawn for concerts and events in addition to a soccer field, baseball diamond, tennis court, and basketball court. Other parks include 2 large playgrounds, Town Lake Park with a large pond for catch-and-release fishing, and 5 beautiful pocket parks.
Schools
Avimor has committed to a proposed elementary school site in Avimor, and as Avimor expands and builds further Villages, it will set aside more land for school site development. Until then, Avimor residents can choose from numerous schools within the Eagle boundary of the Joint School District No. 2. As to elementary schools, residents can choose either the Eagle Hills Elementary School, which has a traditional school year, the Seven Oaks Elementary School, which is a year-round school, the Gallileo STEM Academy, which is a math & science magnet school, or the Eagle Elementary School of the Arts, which is a magnet school.
Middle schools include Eagle Middle School and Gallileo STEM Academy. Two high schools are also available: Eagle High School and the Renaissance High School, which is an international studies magnet school.
Community Services
Water service in Avimor is provided by United Water. Intermountain Gas Company provides gas service, and Idaho Power provides electricity. Avimor built its own state-of-the-art sewer company on-site, and it is known as the Avimor Water Reclamation Company. It plays an important role in Avimor's water conservation efforts by using reclaimed water to irrigate common areas, saving the Homeowner's Association thousands of dollars each year.
As to fire protection, Avimor has been annexed into the Eagle Fire Protection District. Because Avimor is located in the County, police and public safety services are provided by the Ada County Sheriff's Department.
